Jackson Lasher is a Dallas-Forth Worth based clarinetist who recently completed his Master of Music in Clarinet Performance at the University of Maryland. He also holds a Bachelor of Music in Clarinet Performance from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Fredonia. Jackson currently manages a full clarinet studio with students across the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area.
While at University of Maryland, Jackson served as a clarinet studio graduate assistant, managing administrative work for the studio, as well as being a clarinet instructor for the university’s Terrapin Community Music School. He was also a clinician for numerous masterclasses hosted by the School of Music for clarinet students in the area. While at SUNY Fredonia, Jackson was heavily involved in music on and off campus, and included taking part in and expanding chamber music programming in the greater Chautauqua County area.
In addition to performing, Jackson has a passion for administrative work, starting with his experience as an apprentice on the Arts Administration team at the National Music Festival since Season XII in 2024, and now taking on the role of Operations Coordinator for Season XIV in 2026.
Jackson is a native of Lockport, New York, and has studied with Robert DiLutis (University of Maryland, Annapolis Symphony Orchestra), Lin Ma (National Symphony Orchestra), David Drosinos (Baltimore School for the Arts), Sean Crawford (Community Music School of Buffalo), Dr. Andrew Seigel, Elizabeth Hanlon, and I-Fei Chen (SUNY Fredonia).
