Hallie Emerson

Deputy Director

Hallie Emerson is the Deputy Director of the National Music Festival. In 2025, Hallie graduated with a Master of Science in Management Studies from the University of Maryland, as well as a Bachelor of Music in Clarinet Performance from the University of Southern Maine in 2023. She has worked for the National Music Festival since January 2022.

Currently, Hallie also holds the position of Operations Manager with the Columbia Orchestra in Columbia, MD. Past work includes GA in Development and Community Engagement at The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center, Operations Coordinator at the Portland (ME) Symphony Orchestra, as well as a board member with the Portland Chamber Music Festival.

Hallie was born and raised in Maine and was fortunate to grow up in a vibrant music culture and supportive community. Clarinet has been a key element of her life from a very young age as well. Hallie and her husband have lived in Howard County for the last few years, and in their spare time, love to visit new places (both indoors and outdoors), spend time with friends, cook, bake, and play tennis together!
