Dorothy Marks

Box Office Manager

Dorothy Marks is a violinist from Lincoln, Nebraska. Her musical passion is connecting with others through collaborative storytelling. She is currently based at the Frost School of Music in Miami, where she earned her B.M. in Violin Performance and is pursuing her M.A. in Live Entertainment Management. She studies with professors Charles Castleman and Bettina Mussumeli. She developed both performing and management skills from a young age in her family bluegrass band, supervising rehearsals with her two brothers. Since then, Dorothy has collaborated with dozens of chamber musicians across America. She has attended festivals including the Blackburn Music Academy at Festival Napa Valley, the Castleman Quartet Program, Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival, and the National Music Festival. She was honored to be selected as a representative for the Frost School of Music to perform chamber music benefit concerts in Napa.

Dorothy is equally capable in operations and administration. She served as the Dean for the Castleman Quartet Program in 2024 and 2025, and as an Arts Administration Apprentice at the National Music Festival in 2025. She has directed concert operations as a stage manager and house manager at the University of Miami and the University of Delaware. She enjoys finding new ways to streamline behind-the-scenes processes.

Outside of music, Dorothy loves trying new hobbies. Her current favorites include cooking, reading, bouldering, hiking, and salsa dancing.
