Jeffrey Padgett, stage management, currently resides in Asheville, NC where he is the Technical Director of the Diana Wortham Center for the Performing Arts.
Mr. Padgett studied theatre and film production at Western Carolina University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Stage & Screen, with a focus on theatre design and production.
Mr. Padgett’s technical experience includes scenic carpentry, technical direction, scenic design, electrician, rigging and orchestra production. After returning to his home state of North Carolina, he worked as Production Manager at Rivertowne Players in New Bern. When previously living in New York City, he worked on the television series Law & Order: Organized Crime in their art department and was the Master Carpenter for Playwrights Horizons, an off-Broadway theater that specializes in new works.
Additionally, he has worked for several regional theaters and for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines in various technical theatre capacities. Mr. Padgett got his start stage managing for orchestras at Brevard Music Center during their summer season in 2016.
He is excited to return to the National Music Festival for the seventh year!
