Daniel Meza

Librarian

Daniel Meza (Librarianship Mentor) is a librarian at the New England Conservatory of Music and a woodwind specialist actively freelancing and teaching in the Boston area.

As a woodwind specialist, Mr/ Meza has performed in a variety of settings including ballets, operas, musicals, jazz ensembles and many more. In the Boston area, he is Principal Oboe of the New England Film Orchestra and regularly performs with ensembles across New England such as the Vista Philharmonic, Cape Ann Symphony, Company Theatre, Huntington Theatre Company.

Daniel Meza has held library positions for most of his career. At Vanderbilt University’s Blair School of Music, he served as the wind ensemble’s Music Librarian before moving to Boston and working at the performance library of the Boston Conservatory at Berklee. He loves working behind the scenes to prepare music and has had the great fortune of working with a plethora of groups and composers, such as Viet Cuong, Ricardo Lorenz and Julia Wolfe.

Originally from Memphis, TN, Mr. Meza holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Vanderbilt University, and a Master of Music from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
