Internships at the National Music Festival provide an opportunity to learn about and participate in many aspects of running a nonprofit organization, including:
- Board development
- Marketing and publicity (including social media)
- Operations and logistics
- Financial management
- Volunteer recruiting and management
- Community engagement
- And more!
The internship is flexible in terms of time period and number of hours per week, and can be tailored to your interests. We will work with you to design an internship that meets your needs. Internships are available during the spring and fall semesters, as well as during the summer. If you need college credit for your internship, we will work with you and your college to make that possible.
The internship program is open to college students of any major, and to high school students on a case-by-case basis. Interns should have an interest in nonprofit and/or arts management. Experience is not necessary, just a willingness to learn. Knowledge of classical music is not required. Interns will be given opportunities to attend board meetings and take on significant projects in areas of interest.
Please note: if you are interested in interning during the Festival itself, please apply for an Arts Administration Apprenticeship. If you are interested in interning for a longer period during the summer, please contact us via the interest form below.
